The Experience
Departing from SUMUIDE TERRACE in Nago City, this cycling tour comfortably explores the great nature of Okinawa's northern "Yanbaru" region on electric-assist e-bikes. Heading north on National Route 58 into Ogimi Village, you'll find yourself on a scenic road with the sparkling East China Sea to your left and the majestic Yanbaru mountain range stretching out to your right. With an e-bike, even the hills are a breeze, allowing you to fully enjoy the magnificent views.
A local guide will lead you to scenic spots like bridges, villages, rivers, and the sea, providing detailed explanations about the region's history, culture, and way of life. During the tour, you'll stop at a cafe to savor sweets and drinks made with Okinawan cacao (subject to change to a local eatery or rural revitalization center depending on circumstances).
Furthermore, the tour blends sightseeing with cultural experiences, visiting the Yanbaru Shuzo Distillery direct sales shop, the former government office building (a nationally designated Important Cultural Property), and the Yanbaru Forest Visitor Center. On the return trip, take a refreshing citrus break at the Oogimi Shikuwasa Park before returning to the starting point.
